Sewing is very easy if once you have learned stitching of simple kameez,
trouser and salwar. Because - almost every sort of dress carries basic
layout of shirts except anarkali, frocks and paneled shirts. In previous
sewing tutorials we thought you neckline drafting and cutting, fabric requirement for different patterns, making piping neckline, measurement, basic principles and how to cut and sew kameez. First of all thanks for liking our sewing tutorials; today we are back with another sewing guide for summer wear. Yes! Today we are describing that how we can sew sleeveless shirts. As sleeveless kameez is very popular style for summer day wear and many of our women's want to wear it but due to high sewing charges they ignore their wish. Now you don't have to ignore more your desire to wear sleeveless shirt in summer with collar neck style.
Measurement chart:
Length of Qamees = 52"
Waist Width = 26"
Chaist = 32"
Hips = 37"
Shoulders = 13 1/2"
Button Placket Strip = 12 1/2"
Collar Length = 13 1/2"
V neck = 8"
You have to cut front side of shirt in two parts and back in one part. Because - this shirt is opened from front side.
Step-1: First you have to cut the front part according to measurement and then back side.
Step-2: Then sew tucks - which starts from below 8 inches length from shoulder. The length of tucks will be 4 inches.
Step-3: Now join back shoulder part with front one and do same for other shoulder.
Step-4: Now cut the collar according to image#1 and measurement.
Step-5: Now stitch the collar and sew button placket too - which we use to put buttons and holes.
Step-6: Now stitch armholes like back neck by using piping strip and folding it back side. To be continued
